Knitwear Designers to Know: Tak.Ori Italy

22 September marks the first day of autumn - a time when days become shorter and we start to think about warmer clothing. Subverting and celebrating knitwear whilst combining craftsmanship with sensuous luxury, the latest offering from Italian knitwear brand Tak.Ori Italy is a series of garments that provide both comfort and style while compromising on neither.

Who? Italian knitwear brand Tak.Ori

What? Designer Svetlana Taccori’s mantra is “a knitwear collection that expresses a need for authenticity” and with this in mind, exceptional materials - such as baby alpaca, cashmere and extra-fine merino - specially treated in the production process to accentuate their trademark ultra-light, ultra-soft feel in bold and vibrant colours is the focus.

Why? Both men and womenswear ranges are never short of innovation and interest - proportions are played with, ranging from the exaggerated to the shrunken; there are lashings of clashing colours and patterns; inimitable Italian style that steers away from seasonal trends and new yarns and stitching techniques are subtly incorporated along seam and run through knits.
