Meet the nation's ultimate dishy dad

The UK's ultimate man? Here's what women say...

DISHY dads David Beckham, Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt have long set pulses racing, but did you know it’s their respective hair, eyes and lips that we find most attractive about them?

Following a poll* of 2,000 UK women, Specsavers has created the most handsome dad based on what women consider the most striking celebrity facial features.

The dream dad face consists of Orlando Bloom’s sculpted cheekbones, David Beckham’s hair, Jude Law’s button nose, Brad Pitt’s kissable pout and Johnny Depp’s eyes, especially when amplified by his ever-present, retro-style specs.

Emma Kenney, TV psychologist says: Humans respond to attractive faces – it’s all part of our inherent survival instinct. We identify positive traits and make assumptions about people based on looks.

‘Women in particular look for good eyes, hair and teeth. Subconsciously this translates to good health and therefore healthy offspring. Johnny Depp, David Beckham and Jude Law, whose children have inherited their own good looks, are perfect examples of this.

‘Interestingly, there’s some research has shown that glasses wearers are perceived as more intelligent and successful. With Johnny, David and Brad regularly spotted in specs, they can also add those perceived attributes to their obvious physical charms.’

Bachelors considered model dad material include Leonardo Di Caprio, Joey Essex and Bradley Cooper. Leo may not be a father yet, but he certainly champions ‘dadbod’, the phenomenon taking social media by storm that applauds healthy looking lads that shun a six pack. And according to Specsavers’ survey, he is also much admired for his eye-catching eyebrows and forehead.

Essex’s finest Joey and Hollywood dish Bradley make up the single guy contingent, with their teeth and jawline completing the ideal dad face respectively.
