2015 is a special year in which several jubilees and anniversaries are being celebrated – the watch sector makes no exception. The Glashütte watch industry was founded exactly 170 years ago, German reunification took place 25 years ago, which marked the end of an era and the opening of another chapter in the history of Glashütte watchmaking. With the product line “Vintage of the 20th Century” we celebrate this vibrant era that generated true horological classics during the 1960s and 1970s.
The “Sixties” models are a special tribute to the 1960s, which had a significant impact on the product range of the former VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe, the predecessor of Glashütte Original.
