A free open-air free music, arts and comedy festival in the heart of London

Saturday 15th August

Seven Dials, London’s go to fashion, lifestyle and restaurant destination is hosting Spotlight, a free one-day festival of comedy, music and arts, compered by Radio 1’s Alice Levine, who was seen hosting on the stages of Glastonbury this summer. On Saturday 15th August, 12 noon until 7pm, the area will be transformed in to a traffic free alfresco hot spot.

The open-air stage will showcase an impressive line-up with music from upcoming musicians, named as ones to watch, including Wolffe, Mi’das and Leah Mason. Visitors can also enjoy upbeat music from London brass band favourites the Hackney Colliery Band. As well as stand-up comedy from Kerry Godliman who is best known for her role in the Channel 4 series Derek. Enjoy some of the incredible music from award winning show Beautiful, The Carole King Musical. Be mesmerised by the array of weird and wonderful acts from Seven Dials very own Circus (on Endell Street) from contortionists to dancers, alongside a variety of theatre, dance and performances.

In between the performances, shop the selection of independent boutiques and flagship stores with a series of indoor and outdoor promotions and activities, including street table tennis at Murdock, a photography exhibition at Finisterre, Brazilian Bosanova music at Do Shop and see if you are up to the challenge with the slow bike race outside cycle shop Fixation.

Refuel at one of the many top restaurants, bars and cafes, including complimentary cocktails at Scoff and Banter when you dine, sample some of the delicious dishes at Tredwell’s, pizza at Homeslice and a summer garden at Timberyard, to name a few.

Alongside all of the amazing store activities and performances visitors can enjoy the pop-up lawn around the Dial complete with deck chairs and garden games. Sample free delicious juices from Cawston Press in the pop up garden on the corner of Neal Street and free Pimm’s on Monmouth Street. Or book in for a workshop to make your perfect fresh flower festival headband.

Earlham Street will be transformed into a foodie’s paradise, where you can sit out on picnic benches and enjoy the tasty offerings from a selection of Seven Dials bars, restaurants and food stalls including Earlham Street Clubhouse, Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels and Kopapa.
