Fashion Film Festival Milano announces opening for 2015 submissions

SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR THE SECOND EDITION OF

FASHION FILM FESTIVAL MILANO

Submissions for the 2015 edition of Fashion Film Festival Milano are now open for international directors, designers, brands, stylists, producers, and creative talents.

Following the Festival’s successful debut edition in 2014, this year the multicultural event will take place in anticipation of Milan Women’s Fashion Week September 20-22 at Milan’s renowned intellectual cinema Anteo, featuring four screening rooms. The Festival will include both its Contest (for all young and emerging talents) as well as the Off Contest section (for large fashion brands and well-known names from the cinema industry). The aim of the Festival is to create a platform for young and emerging talents to dialogue and earn the support of established personalities who are looking to discover new visionaries. The initiative is a stage that not only provides exposure to the new generation but also recognizes the main protagonists within the creative circuit of fashion, film, art, and beauty, whose work serves as a source of inspiration.

Founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro, the Festival enjoyed more than 4000 spectators during its inaugural edition. Boasting a total of 350 submissions, from which 80 fashion films were selected as participants in the shortlist, the event involved 34 countries and immediately established itself as an incubator for creative minds. In addition to young talents, 46 fashion films came from prominent names in the arena of fashion and cinema: Prada, Gucci, Rodarte, Cartier, Valentino, Opening Ceremony, Balmain, Armani, Roman Coppola, Wes Anderson, Spike Jonze, Paolo Sorrentino, Bruno Aveillan, Luca Guadagnino, among others.

Key to the Festival is its prestigious jury. For its first edition, jury members included Franca Sozzani as president, Claudia Donaldson (Editor in Chief of Nowness.com), Tim Blanks (Editor at Large of Style.com), Jane Reeve (former CEO of the Italian Fashion Council) and Luca Guadagnino (international film director). Again this year, the Festival is set to announce an international jury composed of eminent personalities from the worlds of cinema and fashion, who will judge the participants’ work.

Submissions to participate in the 2015 edition of the Fashion Film Festival Milano are open for free at www.fffmilano.com through June 3, 2015.
