The Cambridge Satchel Company last week celebrated the opening of the new flagship store in the heart of Covent Garden, on the edge of the iconic Piazza.
The Cambridge Satchel Company Founder and CEO, Julie Deane said, "Following the Index investment in The Cambridge Satchel Company, we have been building a strong ‘Best in Class’ team and I am proud to announce that we are moving into a stunning London townhouse which will be home to many of the team, a showroom and a flagship store."
The 3,239 sq. ft. store on James Street, features two designated retail floors and four further floors, including a designated showroom space, as well as two floors of office space for the brand.
Hosted by Founder Julie Deane, friends of the brand celebrated the exciting new opening with a Great British Housewarming. Guests toasted the store with English sparkling wine as well as a host of local treats from Cambridge and London.
Popular DJ & Blogger Bip Ling provided the British themed music, supported by shop owner / singer / DJ Pippa Brooks – alongside the store’s custom built ‘beach hut’ in the basement (usually home to the company’s bespoke embossing service).
Guests included Donna Air, Nina Nesbitt, Gemma Chan, Jim Chapman, Diana Vickers and renowned bloggers Ella Catliff & Alistair Guy.
